The Early Years.

Shri Sunil Tatkare was born on 10 July 1955 in Kolad, a tiny village near Roha. His father, Dattatray Tatkare hailed from a poor family, which helped Sunil in understanding the importance of being humble and helpful to all regardless of their caste or religion.

Sunil was a brilliant student and always stood first in school. His father wanted him to become a doctor and help people but Sunil had other plans for himself. Sunil did not just want to prescribe medicines to people but wanted to help them by providing them an opportunity to improve their financial, social, and basic needs.

Sunil shared a close relationship with his father and whenever Dattatray Tatkare had to travel to different places for political purposes, he used to accompany him and drive the car. After the demise of his father, Sunil had to shoulder all the responsibilities of the family. He left his college education and entered the construction business, at the age of 20.
