Shri Sunil Tatkare Profile
Shri Sunil Dattatrey Tatkare is the Finance Minister of Maharashtra. He got into politics to help people and promote various sporting and community services. He is a member of the Nationalist Congress Party and was appointed to the Maharashtra Assembly 2009 from Raigad Constituency (Mangoan, Roha, Tala, Mhasala and Shrivardhan). On 10th December 2008, he was appointed Energy Minister in the Maharashtra State Government. In 2004-2008, Shri Sunil Tatkare was Cabinet Minister for Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection. Prior to that, he served as the State Minister for Urban Development.

Political Career
- President of Raigad District Youth and Secretary of Roha Taluka Congress Committee 1984 - 1992.
- President of Raigad Zilla Parishad from 21st March 1992-1995.
- In 1995 Shri Sunil Tatkare became MLA by contesting Vidhan Sabha Election for Congress party. In the entire kokan region Shri Sunil Tatkare was the only Congress candidate to get appointed and all the other Congress candidates were defeated.
- During 2004 - 2008, Shri Sunil Tatkare were the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies for Maharashtra Government.
- Appointed as the Energy Minister of Maharashtra in 2008 - 2009.
- 2009 he was appointed Maharashtra Finance Minister.
